We used the mosaics of Marrakech as a starting point for our new rugs collection.
During a recent travel time there, the most interesting and inspiring observation was the friction between traditional and contemporary life. There is a sense of culture and tradition but there’s also the influence of modern globalisation.
Our new mosaic collection is the result of this culture mixture, it’s a conceptual blending that lays elegant patterns and decorative elements together with rich color palettes of dark and intense hues. White cobalt blue and red reflect the country’s Mediterranean and Arab roots.
Our rugs are created using hand-woven silk mixed with wool to produce the mosaic pattern and carefully distressed for a time-worn appearance.
